Australia's Federal and State/Territory Governments offer a range of incentives to attract overseas-originated screen content to produce and/or conduct Post, Digital and VFX production (PDV) in Australia.

Federal: Australian Screen Production Incentive - Location, PDV and Producer Offsets

The Australian Screen Production Incentive has three mutually-exclusive strands:

The Location and PDV Offsets apply no nationality or cultural tests - although there are other criteria for eliibility (see Ausfilm Factsheet: Australian Screen Production Incentives, while the Producer Offset is exclusively for productions with Significant Australian Content (SAC) or official co-productions.

The Location and PDV Offsets are administered by the Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA), while the Producer Offset is currently administered by theFilm Finance Corporation of Australia (FFC), and then Screen Australia after 1st July 2008.
