Ausfilm’s comparative budget service aims to provide a realistic estimate of the cost of producing in Australia, once a budget for another territory has been submitted.

As an initial step, productions should contact the Ausfilm LA office (click here for contact details), which will be able to discuss your production’s requirements.

In all cases, productions will need to complete a comparative budget checklist and provide supplementary material including the original budget, the script (including running time) and the schedule. Ausfilm’s LA office will provide you with more detailed information, including application forms.

Please note that comparative budgets are undertaken by Ausfilm at its discretion on a case-by-case basis.
