Debra Richards is the CEO of Ausfilm. Debra took up the position January 2011 and has over 25 years communications & media industry experience previously as CEO of the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA), the industry association for subscription television. She also spent over 13 years with the broadcasting regulator then the Australian Broadcasting Authority (& Tribunal).Debra has been involved in most of the screen content policy and production industry issues in Australia during her working life as regulator, stakeholder or advocate. These include local content, classification of content, sports rights, copyright, digital conversion and new delivery platforms. Debra is also an Adjunct Professor for Boston University (Film and Media in Australia).Debra is a Director of the Communications and Media Law Association (CAMLA) Board; a Director of the International Institute of Communications (IIC); Vice President of The Australian Chapter of the IIC; Member of the Advertising Beverage Advertising Code (ABAC) adjudication panel; a Director of Northcott and a professional member of the Australian Film Institute (AFI). She is also a marriage celebrant.

Graeme Mason commenced as CEO on 11 November 2013. Graeme has previously worked in both factual and entertainment TV programming in his native Australia before moving to the UK. In Britain he worked across all aspects of film production, sales and acquisitions and distribution for companies such as Manifesto and Polygram Filmed Entertainment. From 1998 to 2002 he was president of worldwide acquisitions for Universal Studios. He then joined Channel 4 Television as head of media projects and later as managing director of rights before moving to New Zealand to lead the New Zealand Film Commission from 2009 to 2013.

Joined China Film Co-production Corporation (CFCC) in 1981 as production manager and producer, and was made Director of Greater China Region Business in 1996 and Vice President of CFCC in 2005. Over the years, Miao Xiaotian has committed to supporting Chinese-foreign film co-production and enjoying good relationship with film organizations and production houses both at home and abroad. In 2011, Miao Xiaotian joined China Film Co., Ltd. as Vice President of Production Company and involved in development, production and international co-production. He has supervised such films as American Dreams in China, No Man’s Land, Switch, Young Style, Brotherhood of Blades, Wolf Totem, among others. In May 2014, he was appointed as the President of CFCC, focusing on administration of international co-production and relevant matters.

Mr. Tiedong Zhou is currently President of Beijing Novo United Films Co., Ltd., one of the top ten theater chains in China with 103 theaters and over 500 screens. Before this, he served for eight years (2006—2014) as President of China Film Promotion International (CFPI), a company directly under China’s State Administration of News, Publication, Radio, Film and TV, which is a combined and concerted force of the overall Chinese film industry, acting as the Chinese counterpart of UniFrance for promoting Chinese cinema worldwide and exchanges in film culture between China and the rest of the world. He was also Vice President, Acquisitions, of China Film Import and Export Corporation of China Film Group, the largest film conglomerate in the country and the sole importer of foreign films authorized by the Chinese Government. He started his career in film business in 1984, and was appointed to Los Angeles to be business manager and later president of the China Film Import and Export (L.A.), Inc., a subsidiary of the China Film Group, for a span of ten years (1995—2005). With his long time hands-on experience, expertise and research in the film business and film studies, he is well renowned as one of the top film executives and scholars in China. Over the past 31 years, Mr. Zhou Tiedong has translated and written an accumulation of over 8,000,000 words for various publications, which include over 600 articles in newspapers and magazines and 15 published books. The Chinese edition of Robert McKee’s Story: Substance, Structure, Style and the Principles of Screenwriting he translated has become the Chinese screenwriters’ bible, a must-read for industry professionals and textbook for various art schools in China. His monograph on film industry Feel the Pulse of Film—An Anthology of Zhou Tiedong’s Essays on Film is also highly praised by industry professionals.

Ellen Eliasoph joined Village Roadshow Pictures Asia (“VRPA”) in 2011 after having worked in the Asia filmed entertainment sector for two decades. In her role of President and CEO of VRPA, Ms. Eliasoph leads the company in its business of identifying, developing, financing, producing, marketing and distributing feature films which are filmed principally in the Chinese language and widely distributed in the Mainland China and other Greater China markets. Ms. Eliasoph became the first Hollywood executive to be based in China when she established Warner Bros. Beijing office in 1993. She imported The Fugitive to China as the first Hollywood revenue-sharing film. During her long tenure as Managing Director, Warner Bros. Pictures China, Ms. Eliasoph arranged and managed the China releases of the Matrix and Harry Potter series and many other blockbusters, and served as the Warner Bros. production executive on many Sino-foreign co-productions, including Johnnie To’s Turn Left, Turn Right; The Painted Veil, which starred Edward Norton and Naomi Watts; and Ning Hao’s Crazy Stone and Crazy Racer.Ms Eliasoph has pioneered the creation of the deal structures by which Sino-foreign co-productions are developed, produced and exploited. Since joining VRPA, she has established and led the company’s China production efforts. VRPA’s first two releases, Stephen Chow’s Journey to the West, and Leste Chen’s Say Yes dominated the Mainland China box office during the February 2013 Chinese New Year period, breaking several records in the process. VRPA’s most recent project, Zhong Kui: Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal released during Chinese New Year 2015. Its upcoming projects include Mountain Cry, currently in post-production; and IPO which begin filming in the second half of 2015. Ms. Eliasoph is a summa cum laude graduate of Yale College and a graduate of Yale Law School. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. She first came to China in 1979 as part of the initial group of American students to study in China following normalization of U.S./China diplomatic relations. Long committed to the cause of cooperation between the U.S. and China in the cultural and entertainment sectors, Ms. Eliasoph was one of the co-founders, organizers and producers of the U.S.A. National Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

Reviewed as a “Premier Australian filmmaker” by Asian Week magazine, and as “one of the most convincing successes of the new wave Australian filmmakers” by French Cahier du Cinema, Pauline Chan’s work has won 15 international awards, 17 nominations, and exhibited worldwide. Chan produced the first two Australia-China official treaty co-productions: Dragon Pearl (2011) and 33 Postcards (2012). The latter she also directed and co-wrote. Both films were released internationally, and exhibited at over 1100 and 2000 screens respectively in China. After winning multiple prestigious awards including Best Film and Best Director, in 2012 33 Postcards was 1 of 7 specially selected films to screen at the US-China co-production Summit. In 2013, the film was reviewed in New York Times’ ‘Critics Pick’ category during its theatrical release in the USA and invited to present as “China co-production Case Study”at the MPA workshop during the Beijing Film Festival. Pauline is in preparation to direct a China-Australia co-production action/comedy in mid 2015.

Alex has managed the Producer Offset program at Screen Australia and its predecessor agency since May 2008, and the Co-production program for the last 4 years. Until May 2008, he was at the Arts Department, with primary responsibility for the administration of the Location and PDV Offsets, the funding of Ausfilm and international film policy, and worked on the broad review of all film funding support measures. This review led to the introduction of Screen Australia and the Australian Screen Production Incentive (ASPI), including the Producer Offset.During 2007 and early 2008, he was responsible for liaising with the industry and Treasury on the development of the legislation introducing the ASPI and assisted in developing the administrative procedures for the Producer Offset. Prior to moving into film policy in 2005, he worked on broadcasting policy, working on television and online content policy, media ownership reform and the anti-siphoning regime.

Jennie serves as Rising Sun Pictures’s Head of Sales, managing both day-to-day bidding activities and broader strategic sales objectives.Originally an IT Network Engineer, Jennie made the move to production in 2000. Combining her love of art and technology, Jennie managed the production and distribution of immersive large format media working on custom projects for clients around the world including Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 and the Smithsonian Institution, among many others.In 2008, Jennie returned to her hometown of Adelaide to join Rising Sun Pictures’s production team and, in 2009 made the move into sales & marketing. Jennie was an integral part of winning projects for RSP such as Gravity, The Wolverine, The Great Gatsby, I, Frankenstein, The Seventh Son, The Hunger Games, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and more recently Pan, Tarzan The Untamed and Gods of Egypt.
