Angie Fielder (Lion, Wish You Were Here) is a producer and co-founder of production company Aquarius Films. She produced Garth Davis’ (Top of the Lake) debut feature film, Lion, (now in cinemas in the US) written by Luke Davies (Candy) alongside Academy Award-winning producers Emile Sherman and Iain Canning of See-Saw Films. Angie will be in LA, based at Charlie’s, from late December until early February to participate in the Lion awards campaign and for meetings about upcoming projects.

Other recent projects Angie has produced include two-time Archibald Prize-winner Del Kathryn Barton’s two short films, RED starring Cate Blanchett, and the animated short Oscar Wilde’s The Nightingale and the Rose, adapted from the paintings of Del Kathryn Barton and co-directed by Barton and Brendan Fletcher (Mad Bastards), premiered at the Berlinale in 2015 and won Best Australian Short at Melbourne International Film Festival. The film features the voices of Mia Wasikowska, Geoffrey Rush and David Wenham.

Angie recently Executive Produced Berlin Syndrome, to be released in 2017, directed by Cate Shortland, written by Shaun Grant and starring Teresa Palmer and Max Riemelt. Angie is also exec-producing Roller Dreams – a feature doc about the iconic roller dancing scene in LA’s Venice Beach, directed by Girls editor Kate Hickey.

Angie’s feature film Wish You Were Here, starring Joel Edgerton, Felicity Price and Teresa Palmer and directed by Kieran Darcy-Smith of Blue-Tongue Films opened the Sundance Film Festival in 2012 in the prestigious World Cinema Dramatic competition, and won numerous awards including the AACTA Award for Best Screenplay and the Film Critic’s Circle Award for Best Film.

Her short films Crossbow, Netherland Dwarf (written and directed by David Michod) and I Love Sarah Jane (written by Michod and directed by Spencer Susser) have screened at high-profile international film festivals including Venice, Sundance, Berlin and Telluride and have won numerous awards including the AACTA for Best Short Screenplay and the Prix Canal atClermont Ferrand.
