Australia-China Film Industry Forum 2013

Shanghai, China

As part of the Australian Embassy Beijing’s ongoing promotion of the Australian film industry in China, and building on the success of the two previous Australia-China Film Industry Forums in 2010 and 2012, the Australian Embassy will work in conjunction with Shanghai Media and Entertainment Group (SMEG) to organise the third Australia-China Film Industry Forum (ACFIF) in June 2013 in Shanghai, to coincide with the sixteenth Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF).

ACFIF aims to facilitate communication and knowledge exchange between Australian and Chinese film industry professionals, and to build personal and organisational links for the benefit of both industries.

In 2013, to capitalise on the growing interest and increasing demand for 3D films and digital technologies in China, and to highlight the strengths of the Australian post-production industry, the 2013 Australia-China Film Industry Forum will focus on 3D, post-, digital and visual production aspects, and organise a number of events, panels and workshops during SIFF.

The Embassy will again work with Screen Australia, the Screen Producers Association of Australia, AusFilm and the Australia-China Screen Alliance to bring together a delegation of leading Australian film industry representatives to participate in the 2013 ACFIF and SIFF.

The sixteenth Shanghai International Film Festival will run from Saturday, 15th June to Sunday, 23rd June 2013. For information on SIFF please visit http://www.siff.com/InformationEn/Index.aspx

PLEASE NOTE: SIFF film submission deadline: 31st March 2013
Further information on ACFIF schedule, program and other delegate information will be available in due course.
