See Alt.vfx’s work on Little Monsters now on HULU.

Little Monsters, the Abe Forsythe-directed genre film –premiered on HULU on Friday, October 11th in the US with a theatrical release in Australia on October 31, with VFX by Ausfilm platinum members, Alt.vfx. 

The film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Alexander England and Josh Gad. HULU and NEON landed the US rights for mid-seven figures at Sundance 2019.

The film is being called Zombieland meets Kindergarten Cop – and it’s a typically hilarious romp from Abe and the team at Made Up Stories.

Alt.vfx were the main VFX vendor on the project, producing over 85 shots for the film. The company’s work included working with inhouse motion capture technology to design and animate hordes of ghoulish zombies, as well as extensive blood and gore augmentation throughout. Seamless 2D compositing also combined with 3D vehicles and much more in this unforgettable ‘zom-com’ from Australia.
