GODZILLA AND KING KONG ARE SET TO BATTLE IT OUT AGAIN IN QUEENSLAND

The next instalment of the Monsterverse franchise, Godzilla vs. Kong has been attracted to Australia by the Federal Government’s highly successful Location Incentive program and Screen Queensland‘s Production Attraction Strategy.

The 2021 global blockbuster, Godzilla vs. Kong saw two colossal titans pitted in an ultimate battle royale, which was filmed at Village Roadshow Studios and around Queensland. The sequel is now confirmed to return to Queensland to commence production later this year back at Village Roadshow Studios

The production is expected to inject $119 million into the Australian economy, create more than 500 jobs for cast and crew and provide a significant boost to local businesses.

Film producer, Eric McLeod expressed his enthusiasm in returning to Australia for the third time in the Monsterverse franchise.

“The highly skilled crews, first-rate facilities, and unique locations make filming in Australia a great experience. The support from both the federal government as well as Queensland has always been critical to our success in achieving a high level of filmmaking and an unparalleled audience experience,”
