Ron Howard returns to Australia for new project Eden

Filming is underway in Queensland, Australia for Imagine Entertainment and AGC Studios’ feature film Eden, directed by Ron Howard.

The survival thriller is the second Ron Howard project to be made on the Gold Coast since it substituted for lush northern Thailand in the 2022 release Thirteen Lives. For Eden, the Gold Coast was chosen as an ideal double for the sub-tropical and semi-arid Galapagos Islands. Filming primarily on location, the production is also utilising facilities at Village Roadshow Studios.

“I have always been impressed with the professionalism and creative spirit of the Australian film community. My experience with our Queensland crew on Thirteen Lives only confirmed that and more. I’m thrilled with the opportunity to bring Eden to Queensland and continue the collaboration.”
