SOUTH AUSTRALIA: ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES

From the city to the sea, South Australian landscapes have long served as a backdrop to some of the country’s biggest and boldest stories. The South Australian Film Corporation’s (SAFC) attractive funding incentives combined with incredible locations and world-class studios can make South Australia the best destination for your production.

South Australia recently announced Australia’s most attractive Post Production, Digital and Visual (PDV) Effects rebate scheme, which complements the federal PDV offset to provide a 40% rebate on work undertaken in South Australia.

South Australia offers a diverse range of locations including stunning beaches, farmlands, outback, wine regions and cosmopolitan cityscapes all within less than an hour of Adelaide Studios.

From oceans to outback, urban to suburban, rural to surreal.  From salt lakes to moonscapes, scenic countryside to rugged bushland, heritage buildings, searing desert and dramatic coastline, it’s all on the doorstep of the state capital, Adelaide.  Adaptable, accessible and affordable.

For location shoots, productions can be based at the Adelaide Studios facilities with modern production offices and the support of the South Australian Film Corporation on site.

The studios also feature two soundstages and a set construction workshop, as well as state-of-the-art post sound facilities. With competitive state incentives that can be used in addition to the national government’s  incentives, South Australia is an excellent option.

Currently Shooting: Pine Gap, Top End Wedding
Recent Productions: I Am Mother, The Call Back, Storm Boy, Wolf Creek Series 2, Sweet Country, Cargo
