TOP END WEDDING SET TO BEGIN PRODUCTION IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA MID-APRIL

Entertainment One (eOne), Goalpost Pictures Australia, Screen Australia, the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) and The Northern Territory Government have announced that Top End Wedding, a new feature film co-written by and starring Miranda Tapsell is set to go into production mid-April in Adelaide, South Australia and then across the Northern Territory.

Top End Wedding is co-written by Joshua Tyler (Plonk), directed by Wayne Blair and produced by Goalpost Pictures’ Rosemary Blight and Kylie du Fresne and Kojo Entertainment’s Kate Croser. It tells the story of successful Sydney lawyer Lauren, played by Miranda Tapsell (The Sapphires, Love Child) and her fiancée Ned played by British actor Gwilym Lee (Bohemian Rhapsody, Jamestown, The Hollow Crown). 

Joining the leading actors are a stellar ensemble cast including AACTA Award nominee Kerry Fox (Bright Star, Cloud Street), Ursula Yovich (The Code, Around The Block, Australia), Shari Sebbens (Thor: Ragnarok, The Sapphires, Redfern Now), Huw Higginson (Janet King, A Place To Call Home, The Bill) and Elaine Crombie (Top of The Lake, Redfern Now, Black Comedy).

The film reunites many of the key team from the hit film The Sapphires, including Miranda Tapsell and Shari Sebbens, director Wayne Blair and producers Rosemary Blight and Kylie du Fresne.
