Ausfilm Week Los Angeles 2018
The annual Ausfilm Week launched in Los Angeles on Sunday 21st October through to Friday 26th October. The purpose of this week is to connect the Australian federal and state government and Ausfilm's membership of screen businesses to studios and executives from the Los Angeles film and television industry.
Ausfilm Week enables the Australian film and television industry to continue to strengthen its relationships with the US production community, to promote Australia as a filming location and to attract post-production and VFX on the scale of Thor: Ragnarok, Peter Rabbit, and Aquaman.
The Australian delegation included executives and senior representatives from the Australian government’s Department of Communications and the Arts, Screen Australia and Australia’s state screen agencies – Film Victoria, Create NSW, Screen Queensland, ScreenWest, South Australian Film Corporation and the City of Gold Coast. Screen businesses attending Ausfilm Week comprised Australia’s major studios; post, sound and music studios; VFX and animation companies; and production services, legal and travel businesses.
Ausfilm Week is an annual event taking place around the end of October each year.
